A state-wide non-profit organization with a council of 40 plus volunteer members needed to be re-energized in their work to support our United States Export Assistance Centers. A strategic planning and team-building session was conducted to discover the best moments and experiences council members shared over the past ten years and to generate innovative ideas for the future. From this discovery, a visioning session was held for council members to imagine the best possible ways they could serve stakeholders. There was a great deal of interaction and storytelling during the two-day event. A new board was created and the revitalized, redesigned District Export Council was launched within the next year to better serve its clients.
